The system needs to know how each task is connected with the other tasks in the blueprint. On the example below, there are 4 tasks in the blueprint.

The connections are defined as it relates to the current task being edited as:

  • Follow-up – the connected task can start after current task is completed
  • Required – the current task is required to be completed before connected task can start.
  • None / No Connection – the current task does not have a connection with the connected task

Example of a Follow Up Connection:

Task 1 “Provide text to post” must be completed before Tasks 2,3,4 can start. Therefore Tasks 2,3,4 is connected to Task 1 as a “follow-up” task.

Example of a Required Connection:

Now, when editing Task 3 “Review & approve”, the connection to the other tasks are different. Task 1 & 2 is required for Task 3 to start. Therefore, Task 1 & 2 is connected to Task 3 as a “required” task.

And because Task 4 can only start when Task 3 is completed, Task 4 is connected to Task 3 as a “follow-up”
